The forest and lakes in the Oslo area are now finally coming back to life after a long winter. It’s still early days and the fishing can be tricky. There were mosquitoes of various sizes, flying ants and other terrestrials on the water. Not in great numbers, but just enough for the trout to look up and to hunt in the shallows. After some heavy rains the water in the lake was quite murky with a lot of organic material floating about. Visibility was poor but some fish revealed themselves and we caught some on both dries and nymphs.
