Here is the nymph & trout video from the North Island volcanic lakes.
“After my saltwater exploits up north I headed down south into the heartland of the north island. There are several large lakes and many rivers in the area, but I decided to start with the volcanic lakes up in the highlands . It was tough going at first, with cold weather and little fish to be seen. But then came a hot spell and the lake started to come to life. Something was stirring down in the mud and the trout knew all about it.
The following video is quite heavy on the nymphs. I probably could have made it shorter, but maybe you will find it just as fascinating to watch as I did.”
