This blog has not been updated for a while, but that is about to change. We have been fishing a lot these last couple of years and there are many tales to tell. Let us start with finishing the story about our visit to the Russian Kola peninsula in August 2015.
The tundra taxi had just dropped us off at a place called Second Knee in the Litza river and we were looking forward to exploring the new and exciting waters. We sat up camp and explored the nearby area before darkness set in. As this was quite late in the season the insect activity was low and we did not see that many rising fish. We headed back to the camp and enjoyed some beers while taking in the truly majestic scenery. This location was very different from our previous location with wide open tundra, wild canyons and large stretches of river to explore. There had to be giant trout lurking in that water and surely a very big one jumped in the home pool as the sun set below the horizon.
